LIBRI (Recherche et Innovation Eclectique en Linguistique et Littérature) représente la matérialisation d’un projet initié par deux universitaires, Bogdan Patrut et Ioan – Lucian Popa.
Il s’agit d’une revue en ligne, érudite, internationale, destinée aux spécialistes qui s’intéressent à la linguistique, à la littérature, aux études culturelles et aux autres domaines connexes. La rédaction ne publie que des articles originaux, rédigés en anglais ou en français.
Nous nous proposons d’explorer et d’examiner les mondes d’idées existants et d’établir de nouveaux territoires. Nous envisageons de collaborer avec des centres d’excellence du monde entier afin de fournir des informations et des comptes rendus autorisés dans les disciplines et les domaines spécialisés des sciences humaines. Notre ambition est d’encourager et de soutenir la pensée innovante, mais nous espérons également devenir une partie importante dans le paysage des publications académiques. Notre but est de faire de LiBRI une publication où les jeunes chercheurs, de même que les chercheurs réputés publient, comparent leur travail et établissent des collaborations.
Death is a topic of interest for most of us and it is safe to affirm that it generates, depending on temperament and cultural level, completly different views. The theme of death is fundamental in Anton Holban’s novels as remaked by Adelina Lascu in her paper. She states that Anton Holban had always advocated for authenticity and for the cult of living, his work being deeply marked by autobiographical elements and themes like love, death, jealousy and a detailed psychological analysis of the inner self.
We all know that the sacred is present in our lives, but sometimes we cannot understand it and perceive it. This paper represents and endeavor of synthesizing knowledge from the field of arts, literature, art criticism and history of religions, starting with the conception of the sacred from the book The Visual Representation of the Sacred, written by Adrian Stoleriu. The paper has 3 main sections: the Sacred, the Sacred in Literature and the Sacred in Contemporary Works of Art.
Firstly, the paper defines the word “sacred” as not being related to literature or arts. But, as seen in the next lines, we realize that this word has a very large meaning. Still, the author offers broad perspectives on the Romanian, English and French definitions on the term, also decribing Rudolf Otto’s perspective, a German theologian and philosopher, and one of Mircea Eliade, a Romanian historian of religions. The author focused on the Romanian-French-English perspective of the concept and reveals the origins of the word “sacred”, linking it to its meanings.
In the entitled article The Values of Antiquity in Contemporary Literature and Arts, Ph.D. and lecturer, Paula Onofrei is aiming to find the common grounds between the art of the Antiquity and the art of the modern era. The article refers to both visual art and literature and their ancient legacy that is still visible today.
There is no doubt that Antiquity was and still is a source of inspiration for the modern art. It is undeniable that without the ancient period, not only we would be unable to create a link between the modern art and the past, but there wouldn’t be any art at all.

Roxana Maria Fanuţ from West University of Timisoara has developed a study on Virgil’s Inferno, with an emphasis on the Memory and Reality in the Sixth Book of Aeneid.
This paper looks to offer a clearer picture of how the Underworld was outlined and deciphered by Augustus` most productive artist: Publius Vergilius Maro. The issues to be talked about are the relationship amongst reality and fiction in the 6th book of Aeneid and the part of memory in the making of Inferno.
Constance Cartmill presents in this paper a deep and careful analysis of the great and impressive work of Madame Roland during the reign of terror of the French Revolution. She wrote about her struggle, pain, and early memories while waiting to be murdered. Her memoires are divided into sections and fragments that were saved from anonymity by her friends.
In one part of her text she emphasises the role of she and her husband during the first year of Revolution up to her arrest. There she wrote about the major events of the French Revolution and the personalities of great influence at that time. The other part is oriented towards her childhood and her youth, namely to the way life was like during the old regime, and where it is emphasised the important role of the author in the political context.
This paper is related to peculiar aspects of French grammar, namely the adjectival behaviour along its evolution from free combinations. The analysis starts from the status of the adjective as modifier of a noun to the one of being a modifier of itself (nominalization), to verbal modifier. The author of this paper, Daniela Bordea, provides linguists and grammarians with a careful study of the values of the adjective, from the so called free combinations to free forms. Also, there is defined and explained the adjectival release process followed by the analysis of the characteristics and values of the adjectival release placed in contrast with those of the adjective in free combination.
Nadia-Nicoleta Morărașu and Luminița Drugă acknowledge not only the importance and utility of technical translation, but also the risks that this transfer of meaning imply if the translation is not accurate. The two authors aim at clearly establishing the hazards implied by an excessive usage of technical jargon, the evaluation of specific risks and the proposal of certain precaution measures.
Risk-assessment is considered to belong both to technical jargon and business speak and it is identified as a five-stage process including: identifying the hazards; identifying who may be harmed and the type of harms; evaluating the risks and deciding on precautions; recording findings and implementing them; reviewing assessment and updating if necessary. Then, the two professors attempt to transfer these concepts into the field of language studies so as to perform a reliable risk-assessment for technical writing and, subsequently, for technical translation.
